Line/Substantive Editing
With line editing, flow, consistency, and clarity are key. Suggestions for rewording and rephrasing will be offered to help improve the reading experience and help move your story forward.
Copy Editing
During copy editing, your manuscript will be formatted and adjusted to follow the guidelines of the style you need. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, footnotes or endnotes, and bibliography will also be checked for consistency.
Proofreading
This service looks at the manuscript layout as it prepares for printing. Heading and paragraph styles, page headers, page numbers, table of contents, widows, and orphans are among the various elements that are scrutinized before the document goes to print.

I earned post-graduate degrees in theology and education, and have years of experience in pastoral ministry. I am a member of ACES, EFA, and the Northwest Editors Guild. In 2020, I completed coursework leading to a certificate in manuscript editing from the University of Chicago Graham School. I participate in yearly ACES conferences and numerous other professional development workshops throughout the year.
